Hoogies are noted for helpful advice about all your projects. We sell the products but our advice is free!

Whether you need a delivery of sand and screenings, that tin of paint mixed just right or one of those metal clampy things with that dangly bit, we'll get you pointed in the right direction and well upon the way to your project's completion.

With a timber yard, plumbing, hardware and paint sections, rural supplies and a great selection of tools, you're bound to get lost somewhere along the way, which is why we have experts in every field just waiting to lend a hand.

Viticulture

Our Rural Sales Manager, Daniel Thompson is available for vineyard and farm site visits and can help develop the optimum strategy for your enterprise.

We provide analysis of soil & tissue samples, disease identification and a nutrient advantage.

We can help you develop spray and nutrition programs.

We also offer advice on application rates, compatibilities, withholding periods and MR Levels.

Building

At Hoogies we've got your building needs covered whether you need timber machining or prefabricated supplies.

We have a radial arm saw for cutting timber up to 600mm wide to length, a ripping saw for cutting lengths of timber to width and a thicknesser for planing timber up to 600mm x 200mm, one face at a time.

Need that special something made to order?
We can supply windows, doors, gates, roofing iron and flashing to your specifications.

We have also developed a comprehensive trade directory.
If you need a trade to assist with a project, we can put you in touch with local tradesmen.

If you have a valuable skill you wish to promote, we can include you on our database and refer you as appropriate.

Accounts

Hoogies offer a 30 day trading account to approved customers.

Ask us for a Trading Account Application Form. Once completed, it must be signed by the person legally responsible for payment of accounts. We require three Trade References.

For customers requiring a credit limit of $20,000 or more, we require a Statement of Assets and Liabilities.

An account at Hoogies allows you to make purchases on credit during the month and to pay for them in the following month. You have until the last trading day of the following month to get your payment to us, and payment can be made in various ways:

  • Cash over the counter
  • Cheque by mail or over the counter
  • Credit card over the phone or over the counter
    (A small additional fee may be charged for Diners or Amex payments)
  • Electronic Funds Transfer into our Bank.

Many thousands of our customers operate a credit account with us. Therefore, it is essential that payments be made on time. There is no charge for running an account. However, any account balance overdue at the close of trading on the last working day of the month will be automatically charged 1.33% on the overdue balance.

Deliveries

Filled your boot up with hardware and still need room for that stick of timber? Why not ask us if we can deliver to your doorstep, whether you need a:

    One Tonne Ute:
    For prompt deliveries up to one tonne.

    Three Tonne Truck:
    For larger loads or long material.

    Crane Truck:
    With a capacity to lift up to 3 tonne packs of material and place them on site without handling.

    or Tip Truck:
    For loads up to two cubic metres that can be tipped, such as sand, screenings, crushed rock, firewood or mulch.
